Question: Is Paintball Safe? Answer: Yes, with some qualifications. ( David Muhlestein, About.com Guide) Paintball is very safe as long as you follow the rules and use common sense. Any severe injuries come from people simply not following rules – usually removing their mask when they shouldn’t. There are, of course, minor injuries such as strains and sprains that are associated with all action sports. As a whole, paintball is very safe, does not lead to major injuries. In fact, based on severe sport-related injuries that lead to emergency room visits, paintball is safer than bowling.
Question: What Should I Wear? Answer: Long sleeves and long pants are a good choice, even in warm weather, as this will reduce the sting if you are hit with a paintball. Although the paint will wash out of any clothes, we do recommend you wear clothes you don’t mind giving a rough treatment, as paintball is a very intense sport. Good athletic shoes are also highly recommended.
Question: Do paintballs stain my clothing/equipment? Answer: Paint is water-soluble and should wash out easily with hot water. However if left untouched more than 24 hours some paint does tend to stain.
Question: We don’t have enough players to book field time. Do we have any options? Answer: Ohiopyle Paintball can put your name and email address on our “Add-On Players” list and notify you when a game is available. Fees and the price of additional paintballs are the same for add-on players.
